About

A Life of Purpose and Service

Rtn. Dr. Anil Gupta is a Charter Member of the Rotary Club of Bangalore IT Corridor and one of District 3191’s most distinguished leaders. An academic rank holder with degrees in Electronics & Communications Engineering and Management, he has spent over four decades at the intersection of entrepreneurship, social impact, and global business leadership.

As co-founder of four organisations and an active mentor to startups, Anil brings a rare blend of executive acumen and grassroots empathy. He is a sought-after speaker and session chair at industry conferences — a voice that bridges the worlds of commerce and community.

His Rotary journey spans over 15 years of progressive leadership: from Club President to Assistant Governor, District Secretary, and most recently as District Rotary Foundation Chair (DRFC) of District 3191. Under his stewardship as DRFC, the district crossed a landmark milestone of nearly US $1 million in Rotary Foundation contributions.

As District Governor Elect for 2025–26, Anil is preparing District 3191 for a transformative year ahead — anchored in the RI Theme: Create Lasting Impact. His priorities centre on membership growth, youth engagement, and expanding the district’s humanitarian footprint through the Rotary Foundation.

Led the club as its founding president, establishing service programmes, membership culture, and a strong foundation for growth.

Assistant Governor
Supported clubs across an assigned area, providing mentorship, strategic guidance, and district-level oversight.
2017–18
District Secretary, District 3191
Served as the principal administrative officer of the district, coordinating governance and documentation across all clubs.
2020–21
AG Coordinator
Coordinated the Assistant Governor network, aligning district-wide initiatives and club support frameworks.
District Rotary Foundation Chair (DRFC)
Landmark: ~US $1 Million in Foundation Contributions
As DRFC of District 3191, Anil spearheaded a culture of Foundation giving that resulted in the district crossing a historic US $1 million contribution milestone — a testament to his ability to inspire generosity at scale.
